Award winning author and RCMP officer, Craig Marshall Smith, will read from his newest book Wednesday, June 6th at 6:30 pm at Fredericton Public Library on Carleton Street. The Journey Continues: An Atlantic Canadian Black Experience documents the rich, vibrant and untold stories of the history of people of African descent in the Maritimes. Written in a chronological time line, it extends beyond historical facts and provides the reader with engaging stories of how people of African descent struggled to survive and thrive in Atlantic Canada. The book celebrates the numerous communities and individuals that excelled, within the context of adversity, presenting many unknown facts about Blacks in Eastern Canada. Following the reading, Mr. Smith will be available for discussion and book signing.
